OREANDA-NEWS. September 16, 2011. The Tata Motors group global wholesales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 87,459 vehicles in August 2011, higher by 3 per cent over August 2010. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 438,070, higher by 3 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2010-11.

Global sales of all commercial vehicles — Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range — were 48,023 vehicles in August 2011, a growth of 17 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 225,471 vehicles, a growth of 17 per cent.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles were at 39,436 vehicles in August 2011, lower by 11 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 212,599 vehicles, lower by 9 per cent.

Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles and the distribution offtake in India of Fiat cars were at 18,194 vehicles for the month, lower by 35 per cent over August 2010. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are at 110,148 vehicles, lower by 21 per cent.

Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in August 2011 were at 21,242 vehicles, higher by 31 per cent over August 2010. Jaguar sales for the month were 3,409 vehicles, lower by 10 per cent, while Land Rover sales were 17,833 vehicles, higher by 43 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal are 102,451 vehicles, higher by 10 per cent. Cumulative sales of Jaguar are 19,124 vehicles, lower by 23 per cent, while cumulative sales of Land Rover are 83,327 vehicles, higher by 23 per cent.
