OREANDA-NEWS. September 22, 2011. The annual conference “Trade System - New business models to share after the crisis and deal with international challenges” took place in Milan on September 14, 2011.

As current economic situation confirms that industry is able to overcome crises, it is essential to draw attention to the perspectives of trade fair business. New business solutions and models, innovative ideas services for exponents and visitors, international relations and export stimulation – all these issues were discussed at the conference.

The Director General of JSC “LENEXPO” and Chairman of UFI European Department  Mr. Sergey Alexeev.

At the conference Mr. Alexeev was talking about the pre-crises situation in the exhibition business and its further development perspectives. He emphasized that some events managed to remain popular with exponents due to its field importance. Anyways, the crisis makes trade fair organizers think of new services and more convenient conditions for visitors and exponents.  Thus, there come out new opportunities and development perspectives.

 At the end, Sergey Alexeevpointed out that exhibition industry would develop and flourish if it could followthe latest market tendencies, apply creative approaches and take into consideration consumers’ needs. Therefore, he believes that successful result will be impossible without new ideas and productive contacts.

The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI)  gathers 560 members. The association is represented in 210 cities and 83 countries worldwide. At present UFI members are the leading international exhibition centers; they organize 4 500 trade fairs and exhibition events.
