OREANDA-NEWS. September 29, 2011. The VIII meeting of the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held in Baku today has enabled the parties to specify the package of intergovernmental agreements being prepared for signing.

Commission’s co-chairman and industry & energy minister Natig Aliyev has stated that nine agreements will be signed during the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kazakhstan in October.

"This package includes, in particular, an agreement on cooperation in maritime merchant shipping," the minister said.

President Ilham Aliyev is expected to attend a meeting of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states on 19-20 October.
