OREANDA-NEWS. October 4, 2011. The Kremlin Cup, Russia’s first ever annual international professional tournament, includes both men’s and women’s tennis. The Kremlin Cup has been repeatedly recognised by the ATP World Tour and WTA as the best organised tournament.

This year, the Kremlin Cup is to be held at the Olympiyskiy sports complex from 15 through 23 October. The tournament’s total prize fund this year amounts to 1 526 500 US dollars, which is provided in its entirety by the Bank of Moscow.

Participation in the women’s tournament of the Kremlin Cup-2011 has been confirmed, among others, by Vera Zvonareva (Russia), Marion Bartoli (France) Samantha Stosur (Australia), Jelena Jankovic (Serbia), Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland), Dominica Cibulkova (Slovakia) and Svetlana Kuznetsova (Russia).

The list of participants in the men’s tournament includes Viktor Troicki (Serbia), Janko Tipsarevic (Serbia), Alexander Dolgopolov (Ukraine), Nikolay Davydenko (Russia) and Dmitry Tursunov (Russia).

The Bank of Moscow has been supporting the Kremlin Cup since 1998 and, since 2003, has been its General Partner.

"Support for sport is a key aspect of the Bank of Moscow’s social policy", commented Evgenia Mamsurova, Vice-President of the Bank of Moscow. "The Bank will continue supporting sports projects, allocating funds for holding sports events, and sponsoring sport organisations".
