TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and television services in Lithuania, has made it possible for small businesses, without additional investment, to use secure electronic mail, share common contacts and information catalogues, jointly plan meetings, assign and monitor tasks.

The Microsoft Exchange-based collaboration system "Virtual Office", created in the network of TEO, will allow using the possibilities of the most popular office software, Microsoft Outlook, without additional costs for hardware or software. Until now, these possibilities have been available only to large companies because of the need to invest in software licences, servers and their maintenance.

For the smallest companies employing up to 5 specialists, "Virtual Office" will cost LTL 19 per month per employee.

The new service has transferred all the possibilities of Microsoft Outlook to the web browser, so it will be possible to read and write e-mails, delegate and assign tasks, and schedule agendas by using a computer or a smartphone while at home or on a trip.

Companies using "Virtual Office" will no longer need to make phone calls to coordinate a meeting time or to inquire on the progress of project implementation works. Shared calendars will enable convenient planning of joint activities.

Several spam filters will allow to protect employees from unnecessary information. Companies will also have the opportunity to access shared directories, where they will store document templates, and this will provide the flexibility to reserve corporate resources - vehicles, office equipment.

"Virtual Office" will work with most smartphones: all iPhone models, as well as phones with the Android and Windows Mobile operating systems, and the Symbian operating system, which runs on most Nokia phones. Customers will be able to fully customize the service to their needs on a convenient self-service website.
