OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2011. PwC Russia has opened an office in Krasnodar, making it the professional services firm’s eighth office in the country. PwC and the Krasnodar Regional Administration began working together in 2009, when PwC and the Administration signed a cooperation agreement. This cooperation is aimed at developing and carrying out programs designed to promote the social and economic development of the Krasnodar Region, popularly known as Kuban, as well as to boost the competitiveness of local companies, identify their investment needs and seek out potential sources of financing.

PwC’s newest office is fitted out in compliance with internationally recognized ecological standards. This demonstrates the firm’s high-level commitment to social responsibility and fostering an eco-friendly corporate culture, which translates into an ongoing concern that its offices are highly energy efficient and have a minimal environmental impact.

A “green office” project was launched at the offices of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee in 2009. It focuses mainly on conservation of electricity and water, reduction of paper usage and elimination of disposal dishes. The Organizing Committee is an active supporter of similar programs carried out by Sochi 2014 partner companies.

On the eve of the office opening, PwC employees and their colleagues from the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee carried out an “Olympic Boost” information session for students of Kuban State University and Kuban State Agricultural University. PwC Russia has signed cooperation agreements with these universities, both of which are Sochi 2014 volunteer centers.
