OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. MPX won the regional phase of the Aberje Corporate Communications award, in the North/Northeast Special Publications category. The recognition was directed to the book MPX Taua: Getting ready for the future, produced in-house by MPX Communication and Strategic Design areas about the newly started solar power plant in Ceara.  The book was conceived with the purpose of explaining  in a simple and objective language, how solar power generation works , the technology employed by MPX, how it can be made to work in Brazil and describing  the opportunities and challenges that are related to the subject.

The selection of the nominees for the Aberje Award comprises two phases: in the first one the works were analyzed by a jury to select the three best in each category. Besides  MPX, Endesa Brasil and Brasil Norte Bebidas were  nominated  in this stage.  Next  came the public hearings held in  Salvador, when the finalists had the opportunity to argue their cases before the jury. After winning the regional phase MPX is automatically nominated to compete for the Aberje Brasil Award that will happen in November, in Sao Paulo.

In this year edition, MPX was also a finalist in the Corporate Crisis Communication category, with the case about the press/communication work during the licensing process of the thermoelectric power plant in Chile.
