OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2011. Haulage of construction materials and cement in Freight One gondolas to Black Sea coast stations increased by 77% in the first 9 months of 2011 compared with the same period of 2010.

Freight One cars carried more than 800,000 metric tons of freight in September, or 60% of the total traffic in the direction of Sochi.

The construction materials being hauled are for use in railway infrastructure, specifically, the second track of the Tuapse-Adler segment, the 1st and 4th tunnel complexes of the Adler — Esto-Sadok combined highway and railroad, Adler Train Station and virtually all the construction projects on the Black Sea coast.

The company achieved the increase in loading by increasing traffic volumes. The company’s balanced rate policy also played a role.

The transport of inert construction materials and cement involves 30 circular routes. Particular attention is paid to the transport of construction materials on circular routes from stations of the Belorechensk node including Labinskaya, Mostovskaya, Belorechenskaya and Andreyedmitrievskaya to the Black Sea coast stations Vesyoloye and Sochi.
