OREANDA-NEWS. October 19, 2011. Gazprom Neft has acquired a network of 21 filling stations and a petroleum storage depot in the Krasnodar Territory from Oktan-Yug Company. The deal was approved by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.

Earlier, in April 2011, the company established a sales subsidiary Gazpromneft-Yug aimed at developing its business in the Southern Federal District.

Fuel is delivered to Gazprom Neft’s filling stations in the Krasnodar Territory from the Astrakhan gas refinery, which is a subsidiary to JSC Gazprom. By the end of the year 2011, all of the company’s filling stations in the Krasnodar Territory are to be re-branded as Gazpromneft.

“Acquisition of the filling station network in the Krasnodar Territory is the first step within the company’s entry into the Southern Federal District which is new for Gazprom neft. Within the next 10 years, Gazprom Neft is planning to increase its retail market share in the region up to 10 %. Regional fuel market expansion meets the Gazpromneft network long-term development strategy, which states its growth up to 2100 filling stations in Russia and the CIS countries by 2020”, - Chairman of Gazprom Neft Management Board Alexander Dyukov said.
