One of the largest federal Russian insurers - Renaissance Insurance Group Ltd. – became a business partner of Rigla Pharmacy Chain in the sphere of corporate medical insurance.Rigla Pharmacy Chain pharmacies have already begun to operate according to the new contract. 

Pharmaceuticals are provided in the frames of the option “Pharmacy” that was developed by Renaissance Insurance Group in addition to the supplementary medical insurance program,“Health Formula”.

The “Pharmacy” Insurance policy may cost from 700 to 3,000 rubles and cover medical expenses amounting from 3 to 50 thousand rubles accordingly. Under the terms of the program, customers can get medicines from a list of more than 4,000 items free of charge.

These medicines are accessible in any of 128 Rigla Pharmacy Chain pharmacies participating in the program in Moscow and its surrounding area. An unconditional deductible of 20% may be included in the terms of the contract as a budget saving option for clients. In this case, clients pay only 20% of the prescribed medicines directly at the register of the pharmacy. Having a prescription and a VHI insurance plastic card of Renaissance Insurance Group are required to avail of this service.

This partnership with the Renaissance Insurance Group is an important step in developing medical insurance programs for Rigla Pharmacy Chain. The pharmacy chain also cooperates with insurance companies such as RESO-Guarantee Insurance Company, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, and also Rosgosstrakh Insurance Company, SOGAZ Insurance Group, MSK Insurance Group and Zhaso Insurance Company. In the past six months of operating in the framework of these insurance programs, Pharmacy Chain managed to increase sales turnover by 81% and the amount of sold packages grew by 55%. Tatiana Shatravka, the Head of the Medical Insurance Department of Rigla Pharmacy Chain commented that, “Rigla is the only national pharmacy chain that so widely cooperates with insurance companies.
