OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2011. From 24 to 27 October 2011 the Moscow-based Central Exhibition Centre "Expocentre" is to conduct an event in the chemical industry - exhibition "Chemistry 2011".

BASF reports that the concern’s stand will present the latest developments for the construction and operation of the chemical enterprises. Among the tasks solved due to concern’s output, is energy efficiency and observance of environmental standards of construction.

The range of polyurethane cement materials UCRETE®, designed specifically for flooring in enterprises of chemical and food industries, is unique in its properties, assortment and technology. About 30 years ago Ucrete® materials became a revolutionary discovery, from which the story of use of polyurethane cements started.

To date, Ucrete® is represented by 15 different coatings, and in the process of their creation there were taken into account all the specific requirements and conditions of industry service (for example, high resistance to permanent effects of aggressive chemicals, the possibility of complete steam cleaning, resistance to shock and large dynamic loads, antistaticity). Those coatings are used at most modern facilities in Russia and around the world. Over the past 10 years, Ucrete® materials have been used at over 3,500 sites.

Specifically for the chemical industry BASF has developed a system of epoxy and polyurethane materials to protect concrete and metal structures. Polymer coatings Masterseal® of series SOGIC (Sewage Oil Gas Industrial Coatings) are resistant to high temperatures and aggressive chemical attack, versatility and environmental safety, have physical properties that meet the highest requirements of specialized industries.

Protective coatings Masterseal® of SOGIC series are used at facilities where there is the impact of technological chemicals, industrial waste, natural chemicals and microorganisms in the wastewater. These include petrochemical plants, sewage and industrial wastewater treatment plants, integrated iron-and-steel works.

Among the BASF developments, intended for use in the most complex industrial facilities, one should also mention system solutions for repairs of concrete and reinforced concrete. Materials of EMACO® series provide reliable and quick repair of the most demanding installations, including in conditions of negative temperatures (down to -10 °C). High rates of physical and mechanical properties of EMACO® materials allow structural repair of concrete exposed to aggressive environments, including sea water containing chloride and sulfate ions.

These materials not only meet the Russian industry requirements - they are designed in strict accordance with the requirements of European standard EN 1504.

On 25 October, a seminar on the theme "Modern building solutions for the chemical industry" will be initiated by BASF as part of the business program.

The event guests will be presented innovative products for the construction and operation of the chemical industry enterprises.
