OREANDA-NEWS. October 21, 2011. Belarus’ State Committee for Property Management has canceled a series of auctions scheduled for October-November 2011, intended to sell on competitive grounds the government’s stakes in 32 open joint stock companies, the committee’s press service reports.

The committee says the auctions are, in fact, postponed until the end of the year to allow experts to reassess the market value of the companies put up for sale.

The committee cancels the auctions to sell state-owned stakes in the following OJSCs: Pleschenitsles, Borisovles’ public food catering centre, Pukhovichi experimental plant, Bobruiskselmash, Slutsk Emalposuda, Tekhnolit Polotsk, Krichevgruzavto, Slonim auto repairs plant, Bobruisk Spetsavtotekhnika, Transmozyr, Novogrudok Construction Company, Skidel Sakhartorg, Bobruisk Footwear Factrory, Olkhovka Cardboard Factory, Baranovichidrev, Minsktelekomstroi, GrodnoATEP, Belkofe, Bobruiskenergomontazh, Slutsk Lift Equipment Plant, Bobruisk Freight Depot #1, Bobruisktrans, Borisovgruzavtoservice, Krasnoselskavtotrans, Agropromstroimash, Gidroselmash. Krasnaya Zvezda newsprint mill.

All companies listed above are on the government’s 2011 privatization plan.
