OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2011. In early December, the Ministerial Council session of the European Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) will be held in Vilnius where the services of communication, network installation and computer and office supplies will be provided by TEO, the Lithuanian's largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services, together with its partners.

TEO was awarded a contract of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania (MFA) together with its partner Elsis IT which will install computer networks. The highest quality mobile communication services will be provided to the visitors of the event by the mobile communication market leader - Omnitel.

The representatives of the MFA and TEO have signed a contract for the provision of services during the closing conference of the Lithuanian Lithuania's chairmanship of the OSCE in 2011. The contract is valued at about 1.7 million litas. Approximately one and a half thousand delegates from nearly 70 countries are expected to come to Lithuania during the main session that will be held on December 6-7.

"We highly appreciate the trust of organisers of events bringing together thousands of participants, and the opportunities offered to demonstrate foreign visitors the most advanced technologies implemented in Lithuania", Aleksandras Samuchovas, Director of Business Solutions Department of TEO, said.

The Internet connection at LITEXPO exhibition and Convention Centre will be ensured via ultrafast double-play fibre optic lines of 1 Gb/s speed. TEO will equip 270 landline phones in the workstations of organisers and delegates. Omnitel will provide mobile communications for 300 visitors of the event and ensure the highest quality of voice, short messaging phone and mobile Internet services.

850 computer workstations will be equipped in LITEXPO halls for organisers and participants, and over 1000 guests will use high-speed wireless Internet in the venue. The total length of computer networks in the Exhibition and Congress Centre will stretch to more than 60 kilometres. Computer and office equipment preparation and maintenance services during the conference will be provided by REO Investment.

The work of the meeting organisers and delegates will be supported by the data storage services. Baltic Data Centre will offer 10 terabytes of information storage in its data centres for document exchange and storage, connected to LITEXPO with additional double-play fibre optic communication lines of 1 Gb/s speed.

Messages to the visitors of the meeting in LITEXPO pavilions will be displayed in 90 TV screens clustered into a single network by Elsis IT. The screens will broadcast the view from several events taking place simultaneously in different halls. The entire event will be covered by the Lithuanian National Radio and Television.

TEO together with its partners Elsis IT and REO Investment was providing Internet and telephone communication, network installation and computers and office equipment maintenance services in six Lithuanian basketball arenas during this year's European men's basketball championship, EuroBasket 2011. In June, TEO ensured the communication during the events of the Community of Democracies held in Vilnius. In September last year, TEO services were used by the Global Internet Governance Forum participants in Vilnius, and earlier this year by the organisers of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, NATO defence ministers' meeting and other international events.
