OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. The transactions concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week totalled over USD 59 million and about 5 million manats. Petroleum products and agricultural goods were in high demand among foreign businessmen.

Total of 23 transactions were concluded last week. Buyers from Iran, the Virgin Islands and the Bahamas concluded the transactions in foreign currency for A-80 gasoline and L-0.2-62 diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi oil refineries. Businessmen from Russia, Turkey and Afghanistan bought karakul wool, cattle skin. The transactions were concluded in foreign currency to the sum of over USD 59.231 million.

One-coloured and jacquard terry towels, cotton yarn, cotton cake and cotton flake were bought in deposit manats. Buyer-countries: the United States, the UK, China, Russia, UAE, Scotland, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The transactions totalled over 4.774 million manats.

Turkmen entrepreneurs bought bread wheat of the 2010 harvest to the sum of over 534,000 manats.
