OREANDA-NEWS. October 31, 2011. Stroytransgaz has completed the first stage of the GAZELLE Gas Pipeline Project in the Czech Republic. The company has executed the design and construction of the border delivery station Brandov under the schedule. The station was put into operation on the 30th of September, 2011.

Within the framework of the first stage of the project the following works were completed as: the detailed design and working procedures, working-out of the as-built documentation, procurement of a part of technological equipment, and construction of the following objects:
Two pig receivers and pig launchers
Four filter separators
Gas disposition terminal
Custody transfer metering station
Gas import metering station
Diesel-generator substation and switchgear
Connecting pipelines

In addition the works also include: piping arrangement, connection of the station to the gas pipelines of 900, 1,000 and 1,400-mm diameter, and installation of engineering systems.

The construction of Brandov station was carried out on the wet ground and at the solid rock.

The works were performed under the contract obligations and in due terms. At present Stroytransgaz mobilizes its resources to start the second stage of the project that comprises the works for the construction of 52.3-kilometer part of GAZELLE pipeline with 1,422-mm diameter, two line block valve stations, installation of cathode protection system and power supply system, instrumentation and control systems (excluding SCADA system), laying of a fiber-optic cable. The works will be completed in October 2012.
