Freight traffic passing through Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV, member of FESCO Group) in January-October 2011 shrank by 11.6% from a year earlier, to 5,310,500 tons, including 2,569,100 tons of liquid bulk, dry bulk cargo , timber and other general goods, the company said.

During the period the port’s terminals were handling daily 17,468,600 tons.

Ten-month container traffic totaled 355,478 TEUs, including 131,143 TEUs of export containers, 131,873 TEUs of imports and 92,462 TEUs of coastal containers. Vladivostok Container Terminal loaded / unloaded 244,197 TEUs, other terminals – 111,281 TEUs.

In October, Port of Vladivostok handled 527,700 tons of cargo, including 185,700 tons of dry bulk, liquid bulk, timber and other general cargoes.

Monthly container throughput was 41,109 TEUs, 15,909 TEUs of them were outbound containers, 13,372TEUs of inbound containers and 11,828 TEUs of short sea traffic. VCT handled 27.942 TEUs, other terminals – 13.167 TEUs.

Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok, member of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest Russian seaports in the Far East. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront with 17 berths, including terminals for handling grain, containers, imported cars and a passenger terminal. In 2010, CPV’s cargo throughput rose year-over-year by 11% to 6.9 million tons.
