OREANDA-NEWS. November 9, 2011. In October 2011, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid the final part of the reinsurance recovery (63,459,209.67 rubles) to OAO AlfaStakhovanie in connection with a fire at the Chagino substation.

On May 17, 2008, at 17:15, during the test of the newly installed equipment subject to the working voltage, a damage of the autotransformer occurred in a chamber of the closed electrical installation, the oil had released from the 220 kV phase "C" cable box, and a fire started.

In order to carry out an examination and determine the causes of fire, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company invited specialists from ZAO Cunningham Lindsey Russia. According to the experts, the fire broke out because of a short circuit at the top of the 220 kV phase "C" cable gland contact, the short circuit was followed by the ignition of the autotransformer. The first payment under the reinsurance agreement was made by Ingosstrakh Insurance Company back in 2008.

Thus, in 2008 – 2011, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company had fully performed its obligations under the reinsurance agreement and paid 165,911,878.06 rubles.
