Belarus’ average wage in nominal terms reached 2,260,100 Belarusian rubles (Br) in September 2011, or U.S. USD 421.4 at the official rate of the National Bank (Br5,363.35/USD 1), up 13.4% month-on-month, an official with the National Statistics Committee told reporters.

In real terms [adjusted for the increase in the consumer prices], the average monthly wage went down 0.2% on the month. In January-September 2011, the average wage increased 8.2% on the year in real terms.

In manufacturing, monthly wages averaged 2.541 million rubles, in construction 2.380 million rubles, in transport and telecoms 2.323 million rubles, in agriculture 1.539 million rubles.
