OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2011. Minister of Labour & Social Protection Fizuli Alakbarov of Azerbaijan and Minister of Labour & Social Policy Totyu Mladenov of Bulgaria have held today in Baku the first talks after yesterday’s signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between their agencies.

In the course of negotiations Alakbarov stated that Azerbaijan and Bulgaria have now common problems associated with transition status of their economies, which affects employment and the labor market.

"The signed Memo will enable to tackle those problems and share experiences in the social sphere. We are glad that cooperation in the social sphere will develop following joint investment projects," the Azerbaijani minister said.

In turn, his Bulgarian counterpart invited Alakbarov for Sofia and offered to continue working on expansion of agreement base in the social sphere.
