OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2011. The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan has published the next monthly data on basic consumer price index (CPI) in Azerbaijan.

The Committee informs that in October 2011 basic CPI rose by 0.3% against rise of 0.7% in September and August ,0.2% in July, fall of 0.1% in June, stability in May, decrease by 0.4% in April, growth of 0.1% in March, 0.6% in February and 0.4% in January of the year. The year-on-year index (for Jan-Oct) rose by 5.8%. The growth in 2010 totaled 3.5% versus to growth of 1.6% in 2009, 22.1% in 2008 and 10.3% in 2007.

In October 2011 CPI grew by 0% against September 2011, while year-on-year growth by 8.3% was registered for Jan-October 2011.

In 2011 consumer inflation still makes up 3.4% and basic consumer price index 2.5%.

The Committee says that basic index is calculated on the basis of a complex of consumer goods and services in the course of estimation of overall CPI.

Calculations do not cover prices and types of services, regulated by the government and goods depending on seasonal factors (fruits and vegetables).
