OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2011. Nevsky Shipyard plans to complete and deliver to the Customer – North West Shipping Company in 2012 four dry cargo ships of project RSD 49, the shipbuilder said.

Nevsky Shipyard continues the construction of a series of 10 river-sea dry bulk carriers of deadweight of about 7,000 tons of Project RSD49 developed by Marine Engineering Design Bureau-St Pb.

One bulker contract (Number 401) will be executed by Nevsky Shipyard in conjunction with Onega Shipyard. On November 19 the vessel was delivered to a dry dock of Onega firm, which has commenced the vessel construction.

Ship’s main characteristics: length overall -139.95 m, breadth overall - 16.7 m, deadweight - fresh / salt water draft 3.6 / 4.7m – 4525 / 7000 tons, cargo holds capacity about 10,900 cbm.
The vessels are being constructed under the supervision of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) to class: KM Ise2 R2 AUT1-C.
