OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2011. Group of companies M2M Telematics is planning to present its GLONASS/GPS solutions in Azerbaijan.

The Company reports that work on forming single information GLONASS space and introduction of satellite technologies on the CIS area has been launched. M2M Telematics expands the presence of GLONASS technology. In November within the strategy of economic expansion the Company opened a regional control centre - PROIMPEKS Astana.

The Centre will carry out representative functions of M2M Telematics in Kazakhstan. Currently, GLONASS/GPS-solutions developed by the Russian holding company are introduced by PROIMPEKS Astana for the needs of Kazakhstan Emergencies Ministry.

In accord with the first phase of the project, the GLONASS-based system of monitoring and traffic management has been introduced in the territorial divisions of the Emergencies Ministry of Astana and Almaty. Use of GLONASS innovative technologies will improve responsiveness to emergency situations and emergencies through more effective use of special equipment, complete control of the situation in the work areas, observance of labour regime and rest of drivers, etc.

"We have tremendous experience in introduction of various systems in the transport and intelligent transport systems. We believe that this experience may be required in the CIS countries and some developing countries, such large as India. Therefore, the Indian market is a priority for M2M Telematics.

At the same time we also pay attention to our immediate neighbors, including Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Belarus. The opening of the Centre in Kazakhstan is the next step in implementing this strategy," said M2M Telematics CEO Alexey Smyatskih.
