OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2011. If compare with last year trade turnover between Ukraine and Hungary for 10 months 2011 increased for 35%. The countries are going to increase this figure by half and reach USD 4.5 billion. This was started by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk and Minister of National Development of Hungary Tamas Fellehhi at Ukrainian-Hungarian business forum in Kyiv.

Ukraine and Hungary have many years’ experience of effective trade-economic and investment partnership. According to the results of three quarters of this year, export of Ukrainian goods increased for almost 64%, and imports - for 15%.

"Ukraine exports to Hungary energy, minerals, equipment, agricultural products, but we are going to achieve exports at a level of pre-crisis period of 2007 year", - Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted.

Minister of National Development of Hungary Tamas Fellehhi noted that now a priority for his country is development of the eastern partnership, including with Ukraine. The main areas of cooperation will be information technology, infrastructure and agriculture.

"We are ready to finance a number of joint projects and invest in the Ukrainian economy almost USD 1 billion. Only under such conditions we can fully realize our geographical and economic potential" - Tamas Fellehhi informed.

Business, according to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, has a key role in strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation to develop such models, which would allow two countries to consolidate their position at the global market.

"The territorial and economic opportunities of our countries should be effectively used to strengthen the role at the Eurasian space. We have productively used the fact that Hungary is a member of the EU and Ukraine is in the free trade area with CIS. So we can freely promote our products in both markets", - Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted.
