OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2011. Representatives of the JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX) participated in the Career Days organized by Rosatom State Corporation. The event has already become a good tradition and is now annually held at the National Nuclear Research University – Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (NNRY MEPHI).

The key point of the event was a lecture made by the General Director of the Rosatom State Corporation Sergey Kiryenko on the issue “Rosatom’s strategies for development up to 2030 considering the Fukushima experience”. Sergey Kiriyenko dwelled on the prospects for development of global nuclear power, large-scale plans of the Russian nuclear industry up to 2030, drew attention of the audience to the new potential business areas of Rosatom State Corporation, e.g. nuclear medicine, composite materials, production of checking complexes that would guarantee a big demand for the young experts to come.

The program also included the “job fair” from the Rosatom enterprises, carrying out seminars, trainings, participating in MEPHI-2020 business game, and many other things.

Like in previous years TENEX’s stand was extremely popular and was attended by 200 participants. Senior students have shown a keen interest in the company’s history, its role in the global nuclear market, prospects for development, working conditions and career possibilities provided by TENEX. It turned out that students are closely monitoring the developments in the Russian nuclear industry. In particular, they did not miss Sergey Kiriyenko’s words expressed in his report to the Russian Government Presidium on November 10, 2011 that, despite a declined global demand for nuclear fuel followed after the events  at Fukushima NPP, “… this year TENEX company has reached a record revenue –3 billion 300 million US dollars. Throughout the entire history of company’s existence it has never had such a volume …”.

TENEX branded baseball caps and T-shirts brought to the event were also very popular among the students as they immediately put them on thus promoting free and easy atmosphere of communication.
