OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2011. EuroChem announced that it was recognized as Russia’s 2011 Corporate Charity Leader in the category “Best Community Development Program Improving Social Climate” by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, which praised the company’s youth programs and regional development of ice sports.

The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) rewarded EuroChem in the “Best Program Promoting Corporate Charity Policy and Social Investment Concepts” category for the creation of environmental monitoring networks in the cities where it operates.

For a third year in a row, EuroChem has led the ranking for CSR and charity programs among Russia’s chemical industry companies.

The Russian Corporate Charity Research 2008 project is jointly run by Vedomosti, PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Donors’ Forum non-profit partnership of grant-giving organizations, with support from the Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Public Chamber’s committee for charity and non-profit organization legislation. The contest highlights best practices in charity campaigns, which it then aims to spread among both business and general communities. Over 50 leading Russian companies and subsidiaries of international corporations participated in the contest in 2011.

EuroChem’s social programs have been included in the “Companies’ Practices in Charity and Social Investments”, a collection of the best projects of 2010.
