OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2011. Today the Latvian national airline airBaltic greeted Dace Dizbite Ose as the five millionth passenger to arrive at the Riga International Airport this year. Dace Dizbite Ose arrived in Riga on airBaltic flight from Oslo. This is the first time in the airport’s history that it has provided services to at least five million passengers a year.

Dace Dizbite Ose arrived in Riga with her children – Martin (18) and Selma (15). airBaltic has surprised the 5 millionth passenger with bouquet of roses during her flight to Riga, and presented with two business class tickets to any airBaltic destination, as well as a pair of airBaltic shoes.

During the first 11 months of 2011, airBaltic transported a total of 3,153,835 passengers, which was 5% more than during the same period in 2010, when the total number of passengers was 2,998,453.
