OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. MMC Norilsk Nickel (MMC Norilsk Nickel or the Company) announces that the Company’s transport division was included into the Register of Temporary Storage Warehouse Owners (TSF). A corresponding letter was received today from Murmansk customs office.

As a result, in future MMC Norilsk Nickel will be able to avoid all problems which the Company was earlier forced to deal with due to absence of TSF in Murmansk Sea Port. Those problems were related to transfer of imported equipment and other cargoes. TSF in Murmansk transport division consists of a covered 720m2 storehouse and an open storehouse of 2650m2. It is equipped with all control and observation devices necessary for disposition and storage of imported cargo, while it is being cleared by the custom service. TSF was established as part of implementation of a project to build the Company’s own cargo transfer terminal in Murmansk.

The Company invested a total of RUB 996 million in construction of its own transfer terminal in Murmansk (as of the end of 2011).
