OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. Subaru vehicles were first delivered directly from Japan to Ust-Luga port, bypassing intermediate transshipment points in Europe. New cars were shipped from Yokosuka port onboard the Pleiades Spirit ocean-going car carrier. The batch of 1,068 vehicles was transshipped in the terminal Yug-2.

 Subaru vehicles are not the only ones that are delivered to Ust-Luga by ocean-going vessels. Earlier, Hyundai and Toyota have utilized direct ocean services along with conventional deliveries by feeder vessels.

 For reference:
 The multifunctional terminal Yug-2 in Ust-Luga port is designed to transship rolling cargoes, including vehicles, containers and general cargoes. At present, the terminal receives Toyota, Hyundai, Кia, Subaru and Lexus cars.

 As of December 23, 2011, the transshipment volume in Ust-Luga port was 129,142 vehicles of different brands. 65,521 vehicles were transshipped here in the year 2010.
