OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2011. AeroSvit extended the range of options to pay for Internet booking with a three-day payment deferment (PayLater service) as well as for carriage’s filing and extra services’ ordering on its corporate web-site.

Now PayLater service users can effect payment for a flight not only in the airline’s offices of own sale, but also by means of a payment card on AeroSvit's web-site.

PayLater service was introduced in November this year. The passengers got a possibility to pay for the carriage in the airline’s offices of own sale within three days after the moment of on-line order. Previously, deferral of payment for a ticket, ordered on the airline’s web-site, was not available: if the Internet reservation was not completed with an on-line payment, the information on booking was not saved.

Besides, the selection of currency was simplified for Internet payments. On all 5 regional versions of AeroSvit’s web-site (for the markets of , , , Europe and North America) flight price is indicated in three currencies: hryvnyas, US dollars and euro. No matter what region is selected, the passengers at their own discretion can nominate flight prices in any of the three currencies.

Also, new services have been introduced for the airline’s web-site users. In particular, the data about the flight reserved via AeroSvit.com are available to the passenger any time in the new section My Bookings after the booking number and surname are entered. Having paid for the ticket, the company’s customer also gets the possibility for on-line updating of the earlier made reservation. In My Bookings section, the following options are available to the customer:

  • Modification of the passenger’s own contact data,
  • Adding the number of Meridian Frequent Flyer Program card,
  • Request for special meals and seat in the cabin,
  • Request (in case of passengers with reduced mobility) for provision of a wheelchair and assistance while moving in the airport’s departure and arrival areas.

Previously, passengers could amend the reservation only via the airline’s call-center.

AeroSvit – Ukrainian Airlines was the first among the carriers of the CIS countries to commence (via its own web-site www.aerosvit.com) on-line sales of air tickets in their traditional as of that time paper form. In 2005 AeroSvit became the first carrier from former Soviet Union countries to start gradual e-ticket technology implementation on its routes. At this period electronic travel documents for AeroSvit flights could be purchased in air ticket offices, air carriages sales agencies and via specialized web-sites. In December 2007 the airline extended the access to the new service, providing e-ticket sales via its own web-site.
