OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. India's largest integrated private power utility Tata Power’s Jojobera thermal power station has won four awards representing various categories at the 23rd Annual Flower Show at Jamshedpur, organised by Tata Steel, Jusco and the Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur, from January 6 to 8, 2012.

The chief guest at the inauguration was Dr Syed Ahmed, Governor of Jharkhand. HM Nerurkar, managing director, Tata Steel, and S Nerurkar, chairperson, organising committee, also graced the occasion. A sit-and-draw contest was also organised at the venue for schoolchildren, which saw participation in large numbers.

Speaking on the awards, PL Manjrekar, general manager, Jojobera thermal power station, Tata Power, said, “The flower show is a good occasion to showcase as well as enjoy the exhibits of the flower lovers. For us at Tata Power, it’s also an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to nurture the flora and fauna as part of our environment conservation efforts”.
