OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. OJSC Belaruskali (based in Soligorsk, Minsk Region) is transferring Br697.638 billion (USD 83.25 million at the central bank’s rate) to the national development fund, according to a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Belarus.

The Government of Belarus has chosen 12 high-profit enterprises to make charity contributions from their Jan-Sep 2011 revenues to the national development fund.

Besides Belaruskali, the list includes OJSC Gomeltransneftdruzhba, Belarusneft, Beltelecom, Belaeronavigatsia.

The National Development Fund was established in December 2005 in pursuance of presidential ordinance #637. The fund provides financing for the key social projects, strategic economic projects and long-term national investment projects. The Fund is formed by profit transfers made in excess of budget transfers.
