OREANDA-NEWS.  January 19, 2012. ANA, Japan's leading carrier, and Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaii's leading carrier, today announced the expansion of their marketing and operational partnership with the signing of a code-share agreement for passenger flights within Japan and Hawaii. The agreement was signed between Shinichiro Ito, President and CEO of ANA, and Mark Dunkerley, President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines.

Hawaiian and ANA commenced cargo codesharing in December 2010. Under this agreement, ANA placed its “NH” code on Hawaiian's daily Haneda-Honolulu service.

Starting on January 19, 2012, ANA customers will be able to book connecting flights on HAWAIIAN AIRLINES between Honolulu and Kailua-Kona/ Lihue/ Hilo and Kahului through ANA. In addition, HAWAIIAN AIRLINES will place its flight code on ANA operated flights between Tokyo's Haneda International Airport and Honolulu, as well as flights that connect to Hawaiian's own daily Haneda service from Chitose, Osaka(Itami), Osaka(Kansai), Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Oita, Kagoshima and Okinawa, enabling its customers to book these flights directly through Hawaiian.

ANA and HAWAIIAN started joint Frequent Flyer Program from December 27, 2011. With this partnership, ANA Mileage Club members can now earn and redeem miles on all HAWAIIAN AIRLINES operated neighbor island flights. At the same time, Hawaiian's HawaiianMiles members can now earn and redeem miles on all ANA operated codeshare flights.

Shinichiro Ito, ANA President and CEO, said, “We are pleased to welcome Hawaiian Airline as our code-share partner and look forward to cooperating with each other on our Japanese and Hawaii networks. This will give our customers access to a wider network across Hawaii's neighbor islands.”

Mark Dunkerley, president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, said, “This new agreement expands our relationship with the leading airline of Japan and allows both carriers to offer travelers more choices and more value than we could independently.”
