OREANDA-NEWS.  January 19, 2012. Presentation of company Symantec, one of the world’s leaders in information security, has been held in Baku.

In his presentation "Information Security & Symantec risk management solutions" regional manager for Kazakhstan & Central Asia Alexander Yakunin informed that 90% of cyber attacks are carried out by organized groups.

"Usually the goal of such attacks is to obtain money or protection, or in protection or violation of the national interests of any country," he noted.

According to Yakunin, in order to protect against such threats, it is necessary to comply with regulations or policy that addresses information security.

"Most of such threats come from laid-off workers of large enterprises, who by using the preserved access to the network of the enterprise often try and quite successfully to take revenge on the employer. That is why it is necessary to create a mechanism that allows the personnel department to make aware the IT Department of downsizing and layoffs to limit their access to the company’s network in time," he said.

During the presentation Yakunin presented for reps of financial institutions of the country the last solutions in the field of information security.
