OREANDA-NEWS.  February 08, 2012. In accordance with Article 77 of the Budget Code of Ukraine, local budgets, interbudget transfers for which are determined by the state budget, should be approved by no later than two weeks after the official State Budget of Ukraine Law is made public.

Because the 2012 State Budget Law of Ukraine was appropriately published on December 29, 2011, then local budgets’ approval deadline should be deemed January 11, 2011.

To this end, as of January 11, 2011, out of 692 local budgets directly linked to the State Budget, as many as 687 budgets were approved.

5 local budgets are approved with the violation of the Code’s deadline, including:

- 3 municipal budgets (of regional value towns) including two ones in Vinnytsia region (Kozyatyn town on January 12, 2012, and Ladyzhyn town on January 17, 2012), and one in Donetsk region (Debaltseve town on January 17, 2011);

- 2 district budgets (one for Khmelnytskyi and Chernihiv region are approved on January 12, 2011).

Municipal budgets (of regional value towns), budgets of cities’ districts, village and settlement budgets are to be approved by no later than two weeks after the municipal budget (of regional value towns) or district budget is approved.

Out of total local government budgets (11394), 11392 have been approved on time, or 99.98 %.

One village budget is approved with deadline violation, namely the budget of V.Bereziv village, Kosiv district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. One municipal budget of Chortkiv district value town, Ternopil region, is still underway (as of February 6, 2012).
