OREANDA-NEWS. February 9, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company will fulfill its obligations and compensate for expenses of customers suffered by the tour operator Lanta Tour Voyage in accordance with applicable law and the contract of liability insurance. According to p.12.11 of the “Rules of Liability Insurance for Non-Performance or Improper Performance of Obligations under Agreement on Tourism Product Implementation” and Art. 17.5 of the Federal Law “On the Basis of Tourist Activity in the Russian Federation”, when addressed by several travelers, whose total amount of claims exceeds the sum insured, the payments should be made proportionally to the sum insured upon the request of each traveller.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has been proceeded to receive documents from the suffered travellers. As of the end of the day of February 1, this year, the insurance company has received claims on behalf of nearly 1,000 travellers, of which about 800 – in Moscow offices and less than 200 in the regional subdivision of the Insurer in 12 cities. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company also received claims from citizens of other countries, especially from Kazakhstan and Belarus, who have been suffered by the tour operator's activity. Their claims for payment of insurance compensation will be examined by the Insurer according to the standard procedure.

In order to accurately determine the size of payments and the exact number of suffered persons, the insurance company prepares the general register of the number of suffered travellers on the basis of claims received and the amount of direct losses.

In order to settle the insured event as soon as possible, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has prolonged receiving of claims from travelers up to 20 pm in Moscow offices of the Company at: 41 Lesnaya Str., and 10 B. Tulskaya Str., build. 9.

The insurance company strongly encourages all aggrieved persons not to protract addressing with claim and provide all the necessary documents as quickly as possible. This will help to work out the register of insured events, to determine the number of aggrieved persons and to calculate correctly the size of payments in short period.

As soon as the registry will be aggregated, proportionality of payments will be determined. Approximately, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company is going to complete the specified stage in early March of this year. Then the payments will be made in accordance with applicable law and insurance contract during the month.

The insurance company compensates travellers for the amount of actual documented damage, upon agreements on implementation of tourism product with a start date of obligations fulfillment of Lanta Tour Voyage, CJSC during the period of financial security, that is, until May 31, 2012 inclusive.
