OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers rose 1.8% on the year in January-December 2011 to 6.288 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told.

The output of potash fertilizers increased 1.6% on the year in January-December to 5.306 million tonnes, of phosphate fertilizers went down 4% to 184,600 tonnes, and the production of nitrogen fertilizers went up 5% to 798,000 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production fell 1.3% to 230,000 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 3.7% on the year in January-December 2011 to 33.939 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms.

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 36.8% of the average monthly output, or 0.938 trillion rubles.
