OREANDA-NEWS. February 24, 2012. The ceremony of closing the VI Specialized Commodities Exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran took place at the Sergi Kцєgi Exhibition Centre. The exhibition became a new step to promote mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the two neighbouring nations.

The wide range of commodities manufactured in the Islamic Republic of Iran including industrial equipment and household appliances, electrical devices, building materials and handicrafts among others was presented by the leading Iranian companies that are keenly interested in establishing mutually beneficial long-term partnership with Turkmen commodity producers and stand ready to offer advanced technologies and know-how and high-quality goods to Turkmen partners.

According to experts, organizing the exhibitions of this kind vividly testifies to the high economic potential of the Turkmen state and illustrates its willingness to foster mutually beneficial economic cooperation and readiness to integrate in the world economy. Enhancing business contacts with neighbouring and remote countries, Turkmenistan ensures that best international practices, advanced technologies and investments are applied into the national economy which open up the vast opportunities to promote Turkmen commodities in foreign markets.

Turkmen and Iranian commodity producers, marketing specialists and entrepreneurs held numerous meetings and talks in the framework of the three-day exhibition organized with the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and their counterparts from the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting participants were unanimous that the commodities exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Ashgabat showcased Iran’s export potential and provided a platform for negotiations between businessmen, specialists of ministries and departments, investors and partners of Turkmenistan. This economic forum spotlighted the interest in mutually beneficial economic relations, displays the potential and invites professionals to substantial talks aimed at working out the approaches to expanding trade and economic cooperation.

Diplomas and certificates were awarded to the exhibition participants during the closing ceremony.
