OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2012. L&T Construction has bagged new orders valued over Rs.1306 crore across various business segments in February 2012.

The Power Transmission & Distribution IC has secured new orders aggregating 514 crore from various clients. This includes a major order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for the construction of a 765 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line from Varanasi to Kanpur and 400 kV Double Circuit lines from Varanasi to Saranath and Sasaram to Allahabad. Additional orders have also been received from other reputed customers.

The Building & Factories IC, secured new orders worth 451 crore for the construction of residential towers and also for civil, structural and mechanical erection works for construction of a cement plant.

In the solar business unit, L&T Construction has secured an order worth 220 crore from a leading developer for the construction of a 23 MW Solar PV plant on EPC basis in Rajasthan.

In yet another development, the Infrastructure IC has secured new orders valued at 121 crore from Kolkata Metro Rail for the construction of a 2.7 km viaduct from Madhyamgram to Hridaypur including a station building at Madhyamgram and other related works in connection with the extension of the Metro Railway from Noapara - Barasat at Kolkata.
