OREANDA-NEWS. March 02, 2012. The rise of currency reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) reached 1.7% for February  2012 against January 2012 and by 2.7% against start of the year.

Last year Bank’s currency reserves grew by 63.6% or USD 4.07 bn – an absolute record for the CBA.

The CBA reports that as of 1st March 2012 its currency reserves totaled USD 10.769 bn (absolute maximum) versus USD 10.583 bn by 1 February 2012, USD 10.48 bn by 1st January 2012, USD 6.407 by 1st January 2011, USD 5.175 bn by 1st January of 2010 and USD 6.137 bn by 1st January 2009.

The CBA announced the forecast of currency reserves growth of up to USD 12 bn for 2012.
