OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2012. Belarus’ output of all mineral fertilizers decreased 12.8% on the year in January 2012 to 472,900 tonnes, a representative of Belarus’ Statistics Committee told reporters.

The output of potash fertilizers decreased 15.3% on the year in January to 382,400 tonnes, of nitrogen fertilizers went up 1% to 72,100 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went up 8.1% to 18,400 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fiber and filament production fell 0.9% to 20,400 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus’ chemical and petrochemical industry went up 0.5% on the year in January 2012 to 4.43 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 540 million at the NBB rate).

Inventories of chemical and petrochemical companies were at 40.2% of the average monthly output, or 1.197 trillion rubles.
