OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. A ceremony was held on March 7 to announce direct flights linking Hefei city in Anhui province of East China to Jeju Island of the Republic of Korea. One famous Korean airline company will fly the route.

"By launching direct flights from Hefei to Jeju Island, Anhui has made substantial progress with its tourism market. The flights allow Anhui residents to explore foreign landscapes and folk customs, while introducing its local tourism to the world market," said Jin Ming, deputy director of the marketing and development division of the provincial tourism administration.

The Hefei-Jeju Island direct flight route offers a variety of services. Tourists may choose four-day or five-day tours that center on Jeju Island, a candidate of the new world top seven natural sceneries. However, they can also take part in a five-day tour to visit Seoul and Jeju, or Jeju and the Yeosu World Expo.

The maiden flight voyage is expected to begin on April 23, which will last until mid October. Two flights are scheduled for each week, Mondays and Fridays.
