OREANDA-NEWS. March 26, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Diatlovo cheese factory is poised to hold an open contest to choose a supplier of ricotta cheese-making equipment worth approximately 2 million euros. The production line is expected to produce up to 7 tonnes of ricotta cheese a day.

Both local and foreign companies are invited to join the contest. According to the tender documents, the cost of equipment should include installation and personnel training.

Diatlovo cheese factory will buy the equipment in the period from June 11 till December 31, 2012. The deadline for submitting applications is March 30, 2012.

Diatlovo underwent reconstruction in 2008 with two cheese-producing lines installed: Obram (Poland) and Donido (Bulgaria), producing 10 and 5 tonnes of cheese a day. If the company succeeds with the ricotto project, cheese-making will become a waste-free industry in Diatlovo.

Diatlovo cheese factory was established in 1945. The company produces 23 kinds of cheese, around 300 tonnes a month. The state holds a 40% stake in the company’s statutory capital.
