OREANDA-NEWS. March 28, 2012. The Russian Telecom Equipment Company (RTEC), manufacturer of trusted telecommunications equipment, obtained Russian FSB certificates for RSOS6850 and RSOS9700 LAN switches.  According to the certificates, the above products fully comply with the security requirements for multi-protocol equipment and data management hardware that should be protected against computer attackes at the С3 level.

RSOS6850 is a series of highly reliable Gigabit Ethernet и 10 Gigabit Ethernet L3 switches with fixed configuration designed to be installed in stacks of up to eight chassis. The family of RSOS9700 switches consists of highly reliable modular Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet L3 switches with high port density and performance (up to 192 Gbps in full duplex mode). RSOS6850 and RSOS9700 support advanced IP services and offer high performance and carrier-class reliability.  All the above models can process IPv4 and IPv6 traffic at a hardware level with wireline speed.

The combination of hardware features and wide operating systems functionality make it possible to use the switches both at access and aggregation levels (RSOS6850 series), and in the enterprise-level core networks and data centres (RSOS9700 series) to provide continuous delivery of intelligent services with optimal quality (QoS).  Integrated security and network access control (NAC) tools help the switches to prevent proliferation of malware traffic and to block unauthorized access to hardware devices.  The switches are produced in Russia at the enterprises of State Corporation "Rostechnologii".
