OREANDA-NEWS. April 06, 2012. The 2012 State Budget Law of Ukraine increases social standards as from April 1.

To this extent, average per capita cost of living will be 1037 UAH as from April 1.

Cost of living for children under 6 years will be 1134 UAH as from April 1 this year compared to 832 UAH as from April 1, 2011; for children from 6 to 18 years – 1134 UAH compared to 977 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011, for able-bodied persons - 1094 UAH (960 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011); for disabled persons - 838 UAH (960 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011).

 There is also an increase of cost of living for needy families.

 Commencing 2nd quarter 2012, maternity grants are increasing as well, to be increased further on throughout the year. As from April 1, the allowance is:

- for the first child – 27,330 UAH (24,960 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011);

- for the second child – 54,660 UAH (49,920 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011);

- for the third child and more – 109,320 UAH (99,840 UAH for the 2nd quarter 2011).

 Till the end of the year, prenatal allowance is also growing. Aids to single mothers are increasing as well. As from April 1, maximum  family allowance is:

 - for children under 6 years – 455.5 UAH;

- for children from 6 to 18 years - 567 UAH;

- for students aged 18 to 23 years - 547 UAH.

Besides, allowance is also growing in 2012 for children subject to guardianship; in particular, starting April 2012, this allowance is 1822 UAH (for children under 6 years) and 2268 UAH (for children from 6 to 18 years).

During the second quarter 2012, allowance is increasing for persons disabled from childhood and disabled children, specifically, as from April 1 this year, the allowance for persons disabled from childhood, inclusive of care bonus, is:
 

for 1st group disabled children (Subgroup A) – 1466.5 UAH;

for 1st group disabled children (Subgroup B) - 1257 UAH;

for 2nd and 3rd group - 838 UAH;


For disabled children, as from April 1, 2012, the allowance, inclusive of bonus, is:

- for children under 6 years – 1042.1 UAH, and for children affected by Chornobyl disaster – 1335.4 UAH;
- for children from 6 to 18 years – 1153.6 UAH, respectively, for children affected by Chornobyl disaster – 1446.9 UAH.
