OREANDA-NEWS. April 09, 2012. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has renewed statistical data on Azerbaijani oil export via the major pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) named after Heydar Aliyev. In March 2012 oil pumping via BTC rose by 10.1% against February.

The SOCAR informs that it was carried 2.698 million tons of Azeri oil via BTC to Turkey’s Ceyhan port in March against 2.45 million tons in February, 2.777 million tons this January, 2.9 million tons in January (last year’s best index), and 3.5 million tons in May 2010 (best index of 2010).

"In January- March pumping totaled 7.92 million tons",- the report says.

In 2011 oil pumping via BTC still totals 32.224 million tons.

The figure turned out by 12.9% less than transportation in 2010.

In 2010 oil pumping via BTC totaled 37 million tons against 36.2 million tons in 2009. The highest figures of pumping in 2009 were registered in May and June (by 3.3 million tons). In May 2010, this index was broken.

From the very start of the BTC operation in mid-2006 to 1st April  2012 the pipeline delivered 183.705 million tons to Ceyhan.
