OREANDA-NEWS. April 11, 2012. SUEK-Kuzbass open-pit mine administration received six 130-tonne BelAZ-75131 dump trucks and a Liebherr 586 2plus2 loader (Austria).

Two vehicles already joined in the process cycle of coal winning at Zarechny open-pit mine, with four more being assembled. Another four BelAZ-75131 trucks are expected to arrive here in the course of the 2nd quarter.

According to Evgeny Sherstobitov, Deputy Chief Engineer for Development at SUEK-Kuzbass open-pit mine administration, commissioning new dump trucks will help to reduce the vehicle fleet operation costs considerably. Specifically, compared with BelAZ- 7555B (55-tonne payload) the savings per truck will amount up to 9.5m roubles a year. Moreover, the administration will be able to reduce the number of the vehicles involved in the process cycle, since 130-tonne dump trucks are 2.5 times more productive than 55-tonne trucks. Reducing the number of process cycle vehicles and introducing new sophisticated equipment will significantly boost the miners' health and labor safety at Zarechny open-pit mine.

Zarechny open-pit mine also received a new Liebherr 586 2plus2 loader in March. With the operating weight of 32 tonnes, the loader features the tilting load of 20,430 kg. It is equipped with a 200 kW engine and a 6.5 cu. m bucket. The hydrostatic transmission of the Liebherr 586 2plus2 loader helps improve fuel efficiency up to 25%. With its maximum 24 tonne load capacity the loader, apart from its primary function of loading coals, will be used for many auxiliary operations.
