OREANDA-NEWS. April 13, 2012. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the planned repair of "Yaroslavl’-Moscow" oil pipeline, by which oil to the Moscow Oil Processing Plant is being transported, will not affect the situation with oil products deliveries to fuel stations of Moscow region. "According to the plan, the pipeline will be stopped for up to two or tree days, no more. During these days, the oil processing plant can use its reserve stock and continue normal functioning", - the Ministry of Energy said.

"Gazprom Neft" (the owner of the Moscow Oil Processing Plant) confirmed that the temporary stop of oil pumping by the "Yaroslavl’-Moscow" pipeline will not result in any changes on fulfillment of the plant’s production plan, if the time of repair works does not exeed 5 days, and on condition of saving regular deliveries of crude to the plant by "Ryazan-Moscow" oil pipeline. Oil is being delivered for treatment to the Moscow Oil Processing Plant by two oil pipelines: these are "Yaroslavl’-Moscow" and "Ryazan-Moscow" lines, the volumes of deliveries at the both routes are approximately equal.

As TRANSNEFT had reported earlier, the Company can stop oil deliveries to the Moscow Oil Processing Plant by the "Yaroslavl’-Moscow" trunk oil pipeline because of critical condition of the pipeline part which goes through the territory of Losiny Ostrov national park.

Thereupon the Ministry of Natural Resources has forwarded to the Ministry of Justice for state registration a decree on Losiny Ostrov national park, according to which this part of "Yaroslavl’-Moscow" oil pipeline will be included into a zone of economical purpose, where building, reconstruction, repair works and exploitation of economical and residential objects is permitted.

According to information from the Ministry of Energy, constant reserves of high-octane gasolines and winter diesel fuel in the Moscow region amounts ten days in average, taking into consideration the track resources. And this guarantees constant and stable deliveries of oil products during the time of maintenance works.
