OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2012. A new Walmart opened today in Berlin, bringing approximately 50 new jobs, savings on a full line of groceries and an increase in tax revenue to support the area’s economy. Nonprofit organizations will also benefit from the retailer’s ongoing charitable contributions and support for community projects. The Walmart, located at 861 County Road F, will be open to customers at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 16.

"The Supercenter solidifies Berlin as a market area. It expands the trade area to the north, south, and west,” said Mayor Richard Scharmer. “Jobs are key in any city and I'm excited about the additional jobs that Walmart brings to Berlin."
