OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2012. From June 1 to June 5, the 14th All-Russian Museum Festival “Intermuseum 2012” was held in Moscow in the Central House of Artists; its principal organizer was the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company traditionally supported the festival and awarded the best museum staff members.

This year, the main theme of the festival was worded by the organizers as follows: “Museums and Tourism: Integration of Museums into the Tourist Industry”. For professionals, Intermuseum is in the first place a holiday, as over 150 Russian and CIS museums presented their original projects and interesting expositions there. In order to present the main subject of the festival, the organizers invited tourist associations, the largest travel operators and the organizations related to the development of tourism to take part in the exhibition.

The festival exhibitors included such leading Russian museums as the State Hermitage, State Russian Museum, State Historical Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, and many others. The business program participants included executives of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), representatives of the largest museums in Russia, Europe, Brazil, Australia, the leading theoreticians and experts of the Russian cultural tourism.

The festival included numerous presentations of educational, scientific, theatrical and museum projects, as well as contests. On June 2 and 3, all the guests to the festival were invited to take part in interactive museum programs, for instance fancy-dress parades.

This year, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, jointly with the competent festival jury, organized three personal cash bonuses in the following nominations: Raising the prestige of museum profession, Honor and Dignity of the Profession and Devotion and Assistance to the Cause. In just fourteen years of the festival history, the bonuses of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company were given to 115 museum staff members. 2012 laureates were awarded on June 5 in the Central House of Artists.

In 2012, the laureate of the bonus Honor and Dignity of the Profession was Perukhno Alla Sergeevna, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Cultural Institution State Historical, Architectural and Arts reserve museum “Aleksandrovskaya Sloboda”. The bonus Devotion and Assistance for the Cause was given to Rudakova Olga Vladimiroivna, Head of the Excursion Department of the State Reserve Museum “Rostovsky Kremlin”. The award in the nomination Raising the prestige of museum profession was given to Misochnik Svetlana Mikhailovna, Director of the State Historical, Literary and Natural Reserve Museum named after A. A. Blok.
