OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2012. State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the Russian Venture Company (OJSC), the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund (established by OJSC RUSNANO) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Memorandum was signed by Board Member, Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Ballo, on behalf of IBRD – by Director and Resident Representative of the World Bank in Russia Michael Rutkovsky, on behalf of the Russian Venture Company (OJSC) – by its Executive Director Alexandr Potapov and on behalf of the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund – by Director for Innovation Development of OJSC RUSNANO Yury Udaltsov.

Under the Memorandum Vnesheconombank is to explore the possibility of its participation in funding a project to improve regional innovation systems in the Russian Federation.

This project provides for creating an effective innovation activity management system at the regional level. The system provides for developing a unified data base on innovations functioning in the Internet. This system’s launch will make it possible to conduct monitoring and disseminate information on innovation activity in the Russian regions, plan and implement regional innovation strategies and action plans.
